Federal Minister of Law,Dr Babar Awan on Saturday said that after a very long time the practice of ‘lotacracy’ is back and in huge swing in Punjab but but also said that democracy would not be allowed to be hijacked by horsetrading.
Addressing while a press conference in Gujrat, Babar Awan said there are provisions in the Constitution under which ‘lotacracy’ could be checked.
“In case a party tries to make use of turncoats, it will be automatically exposed,” he said, adding one should try to become a ‘godfather’ of democracy in Pakistan the sacrifices rendered by Pakistan Peoples for the survival of democracy are shown to all.
He said the culture of reconciliation will save at all cost and ‘we will play a very good role as opposition in the Punjab
