Saudi Arabia is likely to increases the total quota of Haj pilgrims from Pakistan to nearly 180,000.

According to sources the fare to perform Haj will be Rs 79,000. The total quota of pilgrims who can perform Haj from Pakistan will be up to 179,256 after an increase of 19,609.

There are going to be two Haj schemes, one will be the government Haj scheme and the other will be the private Haj scheme. A first come first serve method will be introduced and application will open from April 11 to April 30.

Out of the total, 50 percent of pilgrims would be allotted through the government Haj scheme and the other 50 percent would be allotted through the private Haj scheme. The new policy has also brought a decrease in the expenses.

New steps have also been proposed to make the Haj operations transparent. According to the policy, the Haj tour operators will be selected on merit.

No whereabouts of Fahim and Faizan’s families

The Lahore capital city police officer said that he did not know about Fahim and Faizan’s families.

CCPO Lahore Aslam Tareen submitted a report to the Lahore High Court on Tuesday in which he said that the families of Fahim and Faizan, who were killed by US gunman Raymond Davis, had moved to an unknown location and their houses were also locked.

The CCPO told the court that the neighbours of the victim families were also unaware with their whereabouts.
The court was hearing the petition that asked the court to take notice of the disappearance of the victim families and it had summoned the Lahore CCPO on Tuesday to explain the situation.

The Punjab government’s lawyer said that the families had accepted the blood money and they were free to go anywhere without any permission.

The petitioner said as the federal and the provincial governments had refused to take the responsibility of a deal between Davis and the victim families, the heirs should be brought to court to record their statement.

The court summoned the Punjab home secretary on March 28 for the recovery of the missing families.

KARACHI: Angry over the speech of Minister Zulfiqar Mirza, Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) has said that the party has decided to say goodbye to the coalition with the Pakistan People's Party (PPP).

Member of Co-ordination Committee Raza Haroon along with other senior MQM leaders Faisal Sabzwari and Haidar Abbas Rizvi said Zulfiqar Mirza who was also the senior leader of Pakistan People's Party was heading the criminals belonging to People's Aman Committee.


Raza Haroon said the party will meet the president and tell the decision of Coordination committee.

Noshera Blast at least 10 Dead

At Least 10 dead and 40 injured in the Ziarat Akhund Panju Baba mosque in Akbarpura, Nowshera.
According to the police , food was being distributed after the friday prayer when an explosion occurred in the closet of the mosques.

Dead bodies and injured peoples were shifted to Pabi Hospital and Lady Reading Hospital immediately.

The police arrived at the scene after the explosion and arrest two people.
